Mom, I think I'm ready to wear a bra....

yes words that came out of my 5 year old daughters mouth. I mean seriously where did she learn she needed a bra? If she watches tv it is disney cartoons, and I have never had any bra discussions with her. For the moment it has been put on the backburner, but I will take any advice in the comments section!

That is so hilarious!!! We haven't had that one come up with Emily yet. But just wait until Zachery asks you in a very LOUD voice during the sacrament in church "Why do mommys have such big bumps?" and "does it hurt when you push on them?" "don't worry mom, I'll make sure Sam doesn't smash them when he sits on your lap" I was so red faced, and teary eyed, trying not to laugh, that I couldn't even stop the conversation! I am sorry to hear you won't be running the half marathon.

What about telling her that girls need to be at least 10 (or 11, or 12) years old before they get a bra?
Something similar worked with Becca when she was a little kid and wanted to start chewing gum. My mother gave her a clear age at which she was allowed to chew gum and Becca patiently waited for that date to arrive. It might work...

Oh my! You are not alone. My four year old is very similar. She can't grow up fast enough. Atleast it maks a good story one day when she complains about actually having to wear one! HA! Miss you guys.
